My Top 10 Snowboard Parks in the world

There are so many awesome board parks around the world that judging the top 10 is not an easy task. Park Designers in the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Japan have been envisioning and designing some really innovative and extreme parks over the past few years. It’s been a real treat for board riders the world over.

That aside, we have made an attempt to list 10 of the best!

Ok… The List!

#1 Colorado – USA –Buttermilk!

It’s been on top of the list and many other lists for thepast 2 years, at the moment it’s the go to name for “best park in the world”!Hosting the Winter X Games, has ensured the quality of the park has beennothing short of 100%, having to develop kickers and runs for the worlds bestriders, means its quality has got to be high!

It has a 2K foot run that is packed full of awesome kickers,steps, rails and booters. Its as good as it gets for park riding.

#2 South Island – NewZealand - Snow Park!

New Zealand offer’s some really amazing snowboarding spots,centered around Queenstown in the south island. South Park is focused towards freestyle snowboarding, with a massive 22 foot half pipe, built usestate-of-the-art technology, helping to keep it right on 22ft, its an awesome ride! The Park has some other great freestyle features that can suit novice to the worlds best riders. As such it comes in at #2.

#3 Mayrhofen –Austria - Vans Penken Park!

The mayrhofen is a beautiful park in the high Alps ofAustria. The snowboard park is outstanding and widely recognized as the best inEurope. Offering something for everyone, beginner to champion

The “piste” has a load of awesome features, great kickers,booters, 11 jumps, 34 boxes and some sweet rails. ‘The Rainbow Box’, is a massive half pipe and a focal point of the park, its awesome!

#4 Folgaria – Italy -Jurassik Park!

Don’t be fooled by the name, its not old, outdated or fullof dinosaurs. This Park is loaded with awesome stuff to suit the novice or theworlds best.

A massive 18m Kicker, 5 rails, rainbow, pyramid, some awesome tubes. Three fun boxes, and 3 sweet jumps.

#5 Silvretta MontafonNova – Austria - NovaPark

The biggest park in Austria and one of the best in Europe,the award winning NovaPark is an awesome ride.

2 humps, 8 jumps and 13 jibs. An exhilarating 120m 6m x 3mwall ride, and a 6m long rainbow box. 

#6 Hemesedal – Norway- Hemsedal Parken

Not just Fjords… A massive ski resort in the HallingdalValley of Norway, home to one of the best board parks in the EU. Being inNorwary, the season is quite long, which means more boarding for us!

3 different areas in the park to cater for all of our boarding abilities… nice design. Some nice big kickers, fun boxes, rails and 2sweet quarter pipes for the Champs.

#7 Val d’Lsere –France - Valpark

Ah Mont Blanc… a beautiful part of France and the world.Valpark rest between pistes of Val d and Tignes. It has something for all ofus, beginner to king boarder.

Nice rails and jumps for beginners, some cool 6-10m boxes and a huge rail for the middle-guys and some massive 8-18ft boxes for the big guns…

#8 Vail, Colorado –USA - The Golden Peak Terrain Park

Vail has something to suit us all, nice beginner and intermediateruns, rails and jumps. For the pro’s “Golden Peak” is a testing park… a massive450ft Super Pipe! a 24ft disco box!. Some of the jumps are 50ft, with over 50rails and jibs.

However they do offer an innovative cushioning landing pad to make landing the 50ft jumps a little easier..

#9 Echo Mountain Park– Idaho Springs, Colorado

This awesome park is a 100% devoted board and terrain park,love it! A primary focus towards generation Y & Z, “the younger ones”… It boasts a big stereo system that pumps out music all day long, night runs which stay open until 9pm. It’s a massive mountain well over 10Kft and home to over100 jibs. A great park with something for us all.

#10 Mammoth Mountain,California – USA - The Unbound Terrain Parks

Coming in at number 10… Mammoth, offering an assortment ofparks for novice to pro. There is over 90 acres of jibs, rails, jumps, kickersand booters. A sweet disco park for the beginners, some chilled 15-30ft jumpsfor intermediate level, the main park is where it gets more difficult, somehuge jumps, long rails and boxes. It’s a great park and well worth the visit!
