Skimboarding

I went to Newquay, Cornwall in 2006 for my summer holidays where my dad introduced me to Skimboarding, it was hard to start with trying to stay balanced on the board, we bought a cheaper plywood board for about £10 and after a few hours of laughing at my dad spending most of the time on his arse we decided to have a competition to see who could go the furthest and stay on the longest, this brought out the best in both of us and by the end of the day we were getting pretty good. That was that for 12 months.
The year after in 2007 we took the same skimboard with us then bought a Canadian maple board for about £35, this was rubbish and a complete waste of money, it wouldn't go as fast or as far. We watched a couple of videos on how to do tricks on a Skimboard, ollies, 360's, etc., which didn't take me long to master leaving my dad way behind.
This year where hoping to go to the next stage and buy a fibreglass Skimboard for about £130, we watched some semi pros showing us exactly what you can do on one of these things, we were amazed, i can't wait, bring on the hols!

ps: i've put some pictures in the gallery, i'll put more in later and after we come back from this years holiday i'll put those on too.
